چکیده
Objectives: To determine the association of Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) level with Age, blood glucose level, Exercise, Gender and Smoking in diabetic retinopathy patients. Study Design settings: A case-control study was carried physiology department at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi From April 2019 to October 2020. Methodology: One hundred people were divided into four groups which were; Group D (n=25) healthy normal individuals; C patient's moderate retinopathy; B mild while patients no retinopathy. Every participant checked for sugar retinoscopy through slit lamp examination serum MCP-1 level. The made between retinopathy, protein levels, age, gender, smoking exercise. Results: levels are significantly greater males compared females (p-value 0.042). Similarly, is associated elevation 0.05). Exercise has significant effect on all groups. An increase HbA1C, fasting random correlated ( pvalue 0.000) Conclusion: It concluded from that an advance age increased protein. Moreover, Male gender also enhanced MCP- 1

Serum Levels of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 Correlate with Poor Clinical Grades in Cerebral Aneurysms
Background : Ruptured cerebral aneurysms (ICAs) are the most common non-traumatic cause of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) that is associated with life threatening complications such as Vasospasm, Infarction, and Hydrocephalus (HCP). The active participation of macrophage/monocyte-mediated inflammatory response in the pathogenesis of cerebral aneurysm as labeled with Monocyte ChemoattractantProte...
متن کاملAssociation of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1) 2518A/G Polymorphism with Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy in Korean Type 2 Diabetes
PURPOSE Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) is a chemokine that can increase adhesion molecule expression on monocytes and produce superoxide anions. Hyperglycemia induces MCP-1 production in vascular endothelial cells and retinal pigmented epithelial cells, and has been implicated as a causal factor in the facilitation of vascular complications in diabetes. In the present study, we eval...

Objective(s)Lupus nephritis (LN) is frequently associated with a poor long-term prognosis. Renal biopsy is the diagnostic method of choice in this condition. Urine biomarkers have been mentioned in the diagnosis of LN. The study,s purpose was to evaluate the performance of urinary monocyte chemoattractant protein 1(UMCP-1) as a biomarker of renal involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus.Mate...
